Pack Gnomes
Pack gnomes are tiny creatures with long beards and large hats. They live in your pack, rearranging items in their new "home" according to their personal preference. They may discard, break, or combine items as they see fit during their redecorating. Pack gnomes are attracted most to large packs, like those carried by adventurers or animals.
Pack gnomes will not leave your pack if they find it suitable to living. You may try emptying your pack or using a decoy pack, but it may not work. Multiple pack gnomes may live in a pack, reproduce, and create a family (which will soon spread to other packs). Fostering and caring for a pack gnome and its family produces a strange effect: your pack will be able to hold more than it should, without gaining weight.
