1 | Order

You belong to a Monastic Order. It has a name, usually someone's first or last name and "order". Your Order has a distinctive color which is used to identify its members from others. You have been commissioned by your Order to spread some kind of message. Additionally, you are an expert in one field of study of your choice.

Whenever you enter a population center you have not yet visited, roll a d6. There is [template-in-6] chance that a brother/sister of the Order is present who can provide basic necessities while you are there.

1 | Rule

Your order follows a "Rule" of life. As a monk of this order, it is your rule of life and you have taken an oath to uphold it. It contains, at least, three things you must always do and three things you must never do.

If it is suspected you have failed to uphold the Rule, other brothers or sisters may report you to nearest Abba/Abbot/Abbess for discipline or expulsion from the Order. If you are ever expelled from the Order, you lose all templates of Monk.

If you are exemplary in upholding the Rule, other brothers and sisters may report it to the nearest Abba/Abbot/Abbess, resulting in greater material and non-material support from brothers and sisters and nearby monasteries.

2 | Discipline

You need half the sustenance and sleep a normal person would. Your body is completely under your control - you cannot be moved against your will.

There is a [template-in-6] chance a person will come to you for advice and guidance regarding their life when you enter a population center.

3 | Calm

You cannot be frightened, charmed, or ensorcelled in any way by any one. With a touch and a prayer, you are able to free others from any of these effects. If you spend a rest with another person, they heal an additional [template] hit points.

If someone comes to you for advice and guidance, there is a [template-in-6] chance they are a person of status (authority, wealth, etc.).

4 | Vision

Whatever the goal of your Order, you have attained a Vision of it in all its beauty and glory. You are, at the same time, both elevated to the highest standing in your Order and piercingly aware of your own unworthiness.

You can see things others cannot - the spirits of the dead, magic, deities, fae creatures - whatever most fits your Order. If you gaze into the eyes of another, you can read their mind, get them to confess, learn their identity or history - whatever most fits your Order.

Every time you enter a population center, [template]d6 people will come to your for guidance and advice. Of these, 1d6 + [template] will become your followers and found a monastery in your name (if there isn't one yet).
