A Smattering of Abilities [1]
These abilities are part creative exercise, part progress. They follow a few guidelines (some diverge here and there):
- Avoid crunchy bits and numbers
- Avoid basis in knowledge
- Avoid basis in spells or combat
- I like them and think they are neat
There will probably be more in the future.
Abilities (in no particular order)
- If it is within a stone's throw of you, you can get there in a single turn.
- You can perfectly remember everything you have seen, provided you have not yet slept.
- When the wind whispers through foliage you can understand what it says.
- You can turn invisible if you close your eyes.
- You can perfectly mimic the last voice you have heard.
- You never startle animals.
- If you are close enough to smell someone or something, you can also smell their emotions.
- You are able to converse in any language, provided the other conversant began the conversation.
- Your unarmed strikes land like sledgehammer blows.
- You can always convince a person to make one wager with you.
- You can store smoke in your lungs to be exhaled in an obscuring cloud.
- You can throw your shadow; it still mimics your movements.
- You are fluent in non-verbal communication.
- You cannot be knocked over with two feet on the ground.
- If you close your eyes for an hour, you can switch your vision to other light spectra.
- You can change your scent to anything you have smelled since you woke up.
- If you are not over-encumbered, you cannot lose your balance.
- You have the bite-force of a bear.
- You can throw your voice.
- If you have been in sunlight since you awoke, you can glow dimly in darkness for the same length of time as you were in sunlight.
- Alcohol sobers you up; water gets you drunk.
- You can yell loud enough to clearly communicate with anyone in line of sight, no matter the distance.
- As long as you stare at someone or something, they cannot sleep.
- You can subsist on any organic matter.
